Since the building inspector was here, I've been insulating & covering the walls, 7/16" OSB for the west & part of the south wall:  attachicon.gifShop 2016 045.JPG  attachicon.gifShop 2016 046.JPG

East & north walls will get 1/4" mahogany underlay plywood:  attachicon.gifShop 2016 047.JPG  with some 1/4" pegboard over the benches.  Planned to use some "slatboard" to the left of the double doors & behind the walk-in door, but it's not accessible at this time!   :wallbanging:

O.K. I'll bite, why the difference in wall coverings based on direction? I understand peg-board over benches, just wondering on the other ?

I had planned to use the 1/4" mahogany on all the walls except for the two sheets of slatboard.  But the builder ordered too many sheets of OSB, so I decided to use it on the west side where my scroll saw, table saw & sliding compound miter saw set.

I put three coats of Varathane water-based clear coat on the 1/4" mahogany plywood today.   Shop 2016 049.JPG  Shop 2016 050.JPG  Still need one more sheet of OSB between the double doors & the corner.  Shop 2016 051.JPG  And 1/4" pegboard to put behind the entrance door.  Shop 2016 048.JPG  Put the first coat of floor paint on the remaining part of the floor.

Getting some more done, I brought in the other desk I bought off CL for a workbench a few days ago. Added a raised top to it, it will get drawers in between. Yesterday, I brought in the 4" belt sander & drill press from other sheds & put up the pegboard over that bench:  Shop 2016 055.JPG

Today I brought the planer & scroll saw up from the back shed & the lathe from the Gator shed & unpacked them. Mounted the lathe & planer on 3/4" plywood & made storage shelves for them:  Shop 2016 054.JPG

It does look like he is getting a little skimpy with them.

Made a trip to the lumber yard this morning (2 miles) after a sheet of 1/4" tempered hardboard for a "sacrificial" top for my main workbench. Supplier shipped them 1/4" pegboard instead, which they had plenty of, so that'll have to wait a few more days! Put the pegboard over the bench this morning:  Shop 2016 062.JPG

Made a lumber rack this afternoon, still need to sand down some edges, then fill it:  Shop 2016 061.JPG

I recently finished the "charging station:  Shop 2016 058.JPG

And the raised top for the main workbench, it will get drawers in the space between when I get time:  Shop 2016 060.JPG

I've been getting more done recently, had some trouble getting the 1/4" tempered hardboard for the sacrificial bench top, but it finally came yesterday. Got it on this morning:  Shop 2016 064.JPG

And finished up the small parts tray rack & put up the "entertainment center" today.  Shop 2016 063.JPG

Still need to put a 3/4" edge band on the bench & corral the wiring on the TV & player!

Looks GREAT Lowell!

Only problem is now winter is over and ya gotta mow grass and mow grass and mow grass!  :(

I use old counter top on my bench because its darn-near indestructible.  Resists gas, grease, oils, and that harsh ole carb cleaner too.  Always someone remodeling and throwing out old counter top.  Some even has that slightly raised rounded lip at the front so the small parts don't roll off and disappear never to be seen again.

Only one month until Lathrop!!!!
