My day didn't start out well this morning!  I went to the shop , fired the stove & cleaned the ash pan, apparently, I dropped a hot coal.  I looked out a 1/2 hour or so later to see flickering behind the shop.  Checked it, called the Fire Department, but all they could do was hold it down.  Pictures 2016 007.JPG  Pictures 2016 009.JPG  Pictures 2016 011.JPG   Pictures 2016 012.JPG  Pictures 2016 013.JPG

It's insured & will be replaced, the basic building as soon as I can, then I'll do the inside work myself, replacing tools as needed.  Don't expect insurance to cover everything & many of the tools are older, but I won't replace everything.

Fortunately, nothing I can't replace!  Mostly woodworking tools & supplies.

Man that's rough.  Sorry for your loss but at least nobody got hurt and the fire didn't spread elsewhere.  Hope you are back up and running soon.

Sorry for your loss. Hope your insurance covers it. Around here a lot will not cover wood structure out buildings with wood burner.

Geez I hate to hear/see this Lowell.  But nobody hurt and you had insurance to cover at least the building.  Maybe it'll end up feeling somewhat as a blessing when you get a brand new building up.  I know how devastating it feels to see your own building burn down.
