I acquired this Murray sleeve hitch tiller in a little horse trading this past fall. In the process of getting it up and running I have noticed a rather large crack in the gear case halves down near where the tine shaft goes through the case. What I am looking for is a parts breakdown of this machine and I have struck everywhere that I have looked. I am hoping one of you fine gentleman may have a parts manual and operating manual for this. Model # is 6-13450 and the build date is 2125. I would gladly pay for a duplicate copy if anyone has one available. Thanks much Kelly

If Murray was made by MTD, we have some very extensive shop manuals on them. Try the ones on here http://gardentractor...r_key=all&st=30 and on here http://gardentractor...r_key=all&st=60 . Good Luck, Rick

Checked the links. Found no info available. I sent an e-mail request to the Murray corp. will see if it turns up anything.

Isn't Murray just an old version of MTD?   I always thought MTD was Murray Tractor Division at one time.  They also built many other things, kind of whatever was the hot item at the time, from bikes to wagons and others, mostly in metals and tins.  Later as the tractors kinda lost interest, they just sold off the line to investors and they then became MTD.   They then went full bore into tractors and attachments and bought out all the other brands as they died off to have name brands to help sell more.  Am I FOS??  Can't be! :(

I think I have several master parts manuals for Murray.  I will look tomorrow and see if the tiller is in there.  I am pretty sure Murray was an independent company.  Seems like MTD stood for something like Modern Tool and Die out of Cleveland OH, but I may be wrong.

I found the parts list in the Murray manual I had.  I will PM you and try to get it your way.  It is basically the same as posted above, but original copy and very clear.

I scanned them, and now lets see if I can attach them.  There are 2 transmission diagrams, I wasn't sure which one belonged to this model.
