Hello all, brand new here as i just got my first bolens gt.
It is an ht20 it has a tiller on it and i bought a blade for it and a mower deck, the mower deck needs a diff or tranny rebuild as i dont know how to refer to it. The deck has guards that gave a serial number but they are impossible to read. I bought it from a guy who had a 1250 i hope i got the right one, could be for the wrong tractor, as he never had it on the tractor and he did not know. Took this pick hope it works. The blade i bought i dont even know how to put it on. It is manual not hydraulic. Anyway the deck is what i need to know about. If anyone needs to know about kawasaki kz900-1000 i can help but this is all new to me. Thanks in advance.

Hello Welcome to GTT

Looks like an early 48'' Deck for the early largeframes and will not likely fit your machine, The Largeframe guys can confirm when they see this.

have any pics of your Bolens?

Lots of great guys here , enjoy the site!

Welcome aboard. Sorry I won't be of any help cause all I have are Sears and Cubs.  There are a lot of people on here with lots of knowledge that can help though.

I also do not think this to be the right deck, but if you wanted to adapt it that may be possible. Someone will surely be along shortly that has a similar tractor that will be much more help than me.pics of the tractor would be cool as we all love that! If you need any general mechanical help or hydraulic help feel free to ask as that is where my knowledge is. Good luck and welcome to the addiction!

Hello and welcome, looks like a 48" deck , reference this post http://gardentractor...g-deck-quality/ Will shed some light I believe, you mean it's your gearbox that needs attention, read post if you will and see what you think and then we can chip in on opinions, availability of pieces to make yours work, or just find a 54" deck. Reference this post. http://gardentractor...lf-front-blade/ for front blade mounting . Check our sponsors section for your parts needs and contact them for such , couple specialize in Bolens

Looks like a 48" deck, looks like the linkages for the 1250,in that case it's not going to work,as for the gearbox those are the same as the one for the deck your going to need,if you decide to rebuild it let me know,I may have the parts you need, and also welcome aboard, the HT-20 is a nice tractor

Hi welcome to GTtalk.   That deck will fit your HT20 all you need is to make the drive shaft longer and change the on arm that has the bend in it to the longer one that are used on the 1886/HT18/HT20/HT23.

You may find out the lift arms on the blade are going to be to short, the blades for the 1250 had shorter lift arms than the blades for the HT-20,the 1250,1455,1476,1477 were approx 3" shorter than the HT-20,If I read your original post correct you were asking if the deck you have would bolt right on,in that case it won't,unless you change the parts wilberj mentioned,if you need those parts pm me and I should be able to help you out

Holy moly thanks guys, i will get a pic on tomorrow. The tractor was left on the property i bought so it was a great price, but sounds like im blowin money on the wrong stuff already.don't tell my

There is a guy selling a 1886 with deck backhoe front loader and tiller bad tranny, for 1300$ is that worth it? How much should i pay for a decent deck that bolts( pins ? ) right up?
