We found him or I should say he found out about a week and half ago. We had been out looking at a Rotti we thought about adopting to be my new shop mate.  That night our other two dogs kept barking and running around the back yard.  Around midnight the wife came in to say there was a dog out side and she didn't know it it was hurt or not.  So I went to the front door and opened it to a beautiful Red bone hound mix.  It was supposed to rain pretty heavy that night and all day the next day, so we gave him some food and made a shelter for him.  I figured it he was there the next morning then we would deal with him.  The next morning I opened the door and he came from under the porch right up to me.  This was just before new years so we had a lot going on and just decided to hold on to him until we could figure out what to do.

That's all it took.  He integrated with our other two dogs so easy and Buster can be a real pain when it comes to him getting along with other dogs.  But the two just took up playing and now are buddies as well.  Out Old Shepard mix I think was glad to have someone else around to play with buster.  After new years we took him up to the county shelter to see if he had a chip.  I was really hoping he didn't, but he did!  So we got hold of the owner, my wife answered the phone when he called, I could tell the conversation was not going the way I would have thought and when my wife asked him if he just wanted us to keep him I knew that we just might possibly get to keep him. Turns out the guy is a deputy sheriff and he was hunting on some property that back up to us.  He works nights and didn't really have time to be with the dog.  His wife didn't want him nor his kids.  He also said he was constantly into mischief.  When he told us about the problem he had, had it didn't sound like the same dog. He has just been a great dog.  Although he was an outside dog since we have had him he comes in a lot and hasn't mess once.  He is gentle and just wants lots of loving.  I've taken him on leash and he is great just walks beside me and never pulls.  I've had him in the shop some and he seems to be OK but I haven't fired up the impacts or fired up the Sportster yet so we'll see how he does with the noise but so far he has not reacted to any loud noises.  So with any further to do here is Tropper

If the P.O. was hunting him and didn't mention that he is gun shy, the shop noises shouldn't be an issue. Very nice looking dog, has a kind eye.
