Postings are way down. Most of us don't have snow and we don't have grass to mow. Has everyone else found something terribly interesting to occupy their time?

I'm not doing much! Just reading you folks' posts. Gonna get real chilly tomorrow, so I'll just surf the forum.

I have mowed the grass last weekend, but that is about it. Nothing much going on for me either.

I've noticed this too!  I've found nothing interesting to do.

Honestly all I am trying to do is keep my head down and avoid getting laid off with 700 more people laid off last week!  We have just about all our work idle, and waiting for them to tell us to fire up again.

Well I am waiting for my new electrical components for my tractor so I can 're wire it with nice wire junctions and a fancy fuse panel. I have just about everything done to it that I want,so now it's time to refine and organise the complete package.

Check I might even mount the radiator to the engine mounts so it moves with the engine , oh oh parts just came!!! Whoop hooo!!

Been working at GM truck plant, or at least THERE!  Contractors making changes and new dock doors some areas, just getting those done. Skilled trades has junk all over in places as they are moving from one end of building to other and that is not finished yet.  We moved some things to line and storage areas, but much in way to finish. Now going in early, 3rd shift Sunday to hopefully finish  moving things back to user locations. We're torn up pretty bad. Start back into building the trucks Sunday night, fill some lines back in and etc. Will be slow night then I"m sure. Been going in this week on days, NOT for me, be glad to get back to the 3rd shift again.  NO shop time or even thoughts about it. Tomorrow will probly mount my tire on snow tractor, not much more. Too crammed in there to do much else in winter.

Well I've been busy getting my Porter Cable GT ready for a spring showing with some welding and motor mount installations . I find it ironic, about complaints that the forum should be about GTs only and at this time of year some filler would should be welcomed don't cha think ?

Pretty slow here too!  Spend many weekday mornings loafing at the local mower shop.  Got home this morning & put the Piranha tooth bar on the 300 loader on my '04 JD 790, took all of about 20 minutes.  Tractors 2016 002.JPG  Tractors 2016 004.JPG  Tractors 2016 005.JPG   Tractors 2016 006.JPG

Even went out in the drizzle this afternoon & picked up some sticks before they froze down tomorrow!   :(

Right now at 3 of our operations there are no hourly people working.  Makes me sick

I'm salary so I'm still working.  Half the salary people are working 3 weeks, and being forced to take an unpaid week off.  I didn't get hit with this.
