My center metal trim piece is missing. I would appreciate any feed back on how I might be able to duplicate it. Need to know what type of metal, size, etc. I should use. Thanks again for any help anyone can furnish.

I can't help you on the size yours should be but I used some window sill moldings from an old Chrysler Imperial that I trimmed up to make side trim for my HD-12. It isn't original but it actually looks and fits very nice and even utilized the built in retaining clips on the trim. Many old cars had similar moldings and I think it's an easy and inexpensive way to make nice looking trim for these hoods.

I have also considered using 3M universal automotive bodyside molding. I am not sure exactly where to get it but I believe it can be had in different widths and colors, including chrome.

You want to find an automotive stainless piece close to the 5/8" width of the original.  It measures (at least on mine) 24 1/4" long.  Square on the back, rounded tip in the front.
