I haven't posted anything about him since we got him. He never leaves the kids and is really protective of them. Doesn't like strangers he barks but if they walk toward him he runs and hides.  Been taking him around livestock since we got him he goes with me to feed but haven't had to for a couple of weeks since selling everything off.

Looks like part Rotti! Very nice dogs. We had one for 11 years. One word of advice. Make sure the dog is well socialized around people. If he isn't, he could get very  protective of family and be quick to growl at, warn off or bite anyone who may be a threat. It makes it like always having a loaded gun laying around.

Good advice. The 2 Rotts here are not 'social' and the male will attack someone he doesn't know.

We lost Achilles last year, he was a German Block head.  He had the look that could send chills down your spine but he was one of the sweetest, gentlest dogs we have ever had.  We went to a Rotti rescue last Tuesday and found a female I really like.  Then Tuesday night around Midnight the wife comes in and says our other two dogs have been barking at a stray and she thought it might be hurt.  So I went to the front door to go out side to check it out and there stood a beautiful brown dog.  We aren't sure of the breed but I think it has some Greyhound in it.  So we need to decide what to do with the stray first before we look at getting the Rotti.
