I just bought a 107 with soft cab & blade  the electric lift for the blade will not lift when cold  it sometimes works when warm  the guy I bought it from said it need new brushes  any advice would be nice I have trouble with downloading pictures working on it

Good chance the bushings/bearing could be bad also.  I would take it to a starter/alternator repair shop and have them look at it.  IH dealer could probably take care of it too but be more expensive.

The electric lifts are great when working but rebuilding gets pricey. There are parts out there from a few suppliers and aren't so bad to go for yourself! Good luck.

Pull the motor off the e-lift and take it apart and look it over good for worn parts. I took mine into an electrical shop, Positive Electric, they did some type of bench test, ground the commentator and installed new brushes... Don't recall the price, but it wasn't like an arm or a leg, nothing that bad... :thumbs:

Thing worked perfectly after.

I do plan to take drive end apart to check bearings and lube up the manual helped!!

i had a thought after seeing parts schematic maybe the gear box part has too heavy grease. so when it is cold it does not work well I guess i will find out when i get it a part
