Got this today. HB special, place was Madhouse and out of many items. $20, just not sure I will trust it on Big trailer till tested some.

Found one of those in a turn lane several years ago. Have used the fire out of it. no worries. Mine didn't have chrome balls though.

I have one (not from HF) that has a 2" and a 2-5/8" ball on it. The 2"X2" bar is solid steel. I like it.

We have one of these, have put hundreds of miles on it with the 18' trailer loaded and (knock wood) no problems

I have a similar one I got off of Ebay, only difference is that mine is adjustable vertically have pulled 5-7k loads with it, works great.

Duh! Brain fart!  My hitches all drop down from level of insert spot to keep trailers level. This one DON'T drop and is too high setting in stock spot. Little trailer is too high in front, the big one I have adjustable hitch height if I un-pin  it and move up/down to match. Never even occured to me that was an issue. Oh, well, it is pretty and can put on a shelf to look at, heh! :wallbanging:

Don't give up on it yet.
I keep one in the dog box of the truck.

If I go to the show, unhitch for some reason and my ball comes up missing... I have a backup, uphill or not.
Also, I once had to haul home a buddy's trailer for him due to him having truck issues. He had a 2". Glad I had the ball that day.

That's why I don't use one, trucks sit too high for my trailers
