I scanned the original and just shrunk it down in the puter. Printed it out and carry it with me. It's about a 5X7 size when unfolded! Saved the original in case I need a copy!

When I was discharged at McGuire AF Base they had a place right at the discharge center where you Paid $5 and got a full size and mini laminated copy of theDD214.  Most of you guys know this but you need to have your DD214 recorded at the County Recorders Office.  Just in case.

I found out by accident O'Reilly auto parts also gives a military discount. I don't know if it was a flat % or varied depending on the item. Regardless, it's a savings.

Ohio also has this feature when you renew. I did it last year and found Auto Zone also gives 10% on most things along with those listed above. DD214 is required to get it put on your license in Ohio but no additional charge. Registering your DD214 at a court house is a really GOOD idea. Mine was thankfully, I went to check on something a few years back and was told that my military records seemed to have burned up in a fire out in Kansas City ??? The locally registered DD214 was all the proof I needed.
