I got a set of wheel weights for my 1250 it has 15" wheels I want to put 2 weights on each wheel. The owners manual shows you need 4 long bolts and them oblong plates so do I only need 4 of them plates or what I just don't want to do it wrong any help would be great. Thanks sam

Sam, the bolts are not all that long. The little oblong plates that go into the recesses on those plate wheel weights have two holes in them to line up with the holes in the weights themselves. One of the holes is just large enough that the bolt shaft will go through it. The other hole is threaded so the bolt for the outer weight can be screwed into it. If you hacve the right equipment or a friend who can help you out, you could make those little oblong plates.

Just an FYI, when you put on the first weight, the bolts thread into holes left free on the hub flange after the wheel is installed.

Oh I see I didn't know they were threaded in one of the holes of the plate

Open the forum you want the topic in and look to the right side for "Start New topic". Click that & your on your way!
