That is downright frigid. Not ready for the cold yet.

Not a chance of that here, it was 63° and sunny as all get up. Beautiful weather! Now it's starting to get close to normal temps, should be mid to low 30's, not 60's... Everyone's going to get sick as dogs from this radical temp swings I fear.

It's overcast now and 6-8" of snow and ice pellets in the forecast for today and tonight. Looks like another 4-6" on Tuesday as well. It was 14C, 57F and sunny on Christmas Day but winter is finally back in town.

Can you imagine if all that rain was snow?

That's exactly what I was thinking last night as it rained hard and steady.
The lawns are a darned soupy mess, so I am hoping if it has to get cold, that it gets cold slowly and then snows. Need the base to freeze or I won't be able to plow without rutting the hell out of everything. Be stuck 24/7 too.

As a side note, saw 2 separate flocks of Canadian geese yesterday. Flying NORTH.
Told the kids, I hope they know something we don't. :D

Going to turn to winter here too.  Was in the upper 30's low 40's the last couple days but down to 24° this morning with a 14° wind chill.  Winter storm warning starting early tomorrow through midnight tomorrow night.  Freezing rain, sleet up to .2" then 4-6" of snow.  Hopefully the ground is warm enough to take care of the ice and just have snow to contend with.  Just wish the ground would freeze before we get the snow.  Snow on top of mud is not a fun thing at all.

The geese around here don't migrate, so if they're flying north,it's just to the next pond.

We had 7.14 inches of rain Friday 3:30 morning till Saturday. Every thing is flooded and several roads washed away and it's suppose to start back today and Monday.

where I'm at, they are saying we might wind up with 4" of rain from Friday to tomorrow, but an hour north of us they are saying like 1/2" total.  then it is supposed to turn to ice tomorrow during the day, they are saying we're in for 1/4-1/2" layer of ice.... great.

I know it poured here all night last night.... soupy mess is an understatement. I wish we had a dry area that we could let the dogs out in...

Hmmm, been warmer here in IN.  Getting cooler now, but not seeing storms or anything. Have to do a double check I guess. I'm not far from Kankakee in a straight line, but most weather goes north before hitting us, so Mich gets it.
