Well today we have a green Xmas, sunny day and 8C, so I thought I'd do something I have never done before and MOW THE LAWN.
My MF16 was the only tractor with a mower deck still on it so that's the tractor I used.

That's great, Doug! You've got greener grass than I do!

Ours is green here also - - under the snow.  Granddaughter made a green snow angel yesterday.

Doug, you had plenty of grass to mow by looks of the discharge.  I could mow anytime, but it's wet as can be right now, and I'd leave ruts.

My grass was wet to, lawn soft, I got lots of bar marks from the tires in it now but I can say for the first time in my life I cut the grass Xmas day.

And that's why I did it.

I can't say I've ever mowed on Christmas either.  Doug, you likely did something that 99.9% of us never have, and that most never will.

I cleaned up some leaves today, but didn't need to mow. I notice a lot of my plants are sprouting new growth as if it was spring.... I hope the temporary warm weather doesn't wipe everything out when the cold snap comes. But the chickens are loving the extended free range time...

I have mowed in January to test mow after a repair.  Done it maybe twice (different years), both during a warm spell.

Wow! Latest I've ever mowed was mid-late October---that was this year! We did race go-karts on Christmas day one time back in the early '90s. It was cold and has snowed a bit. The sun came out and just the dirt track was exposed due to the black dirt. That was fun!

That's a pretty good Christmas present getting to mow if you ask me! A snowstorm started here this afternoon.

Hmm, got about 2 inches of snow yesterday. Grand daughter came in from a trip to the store and said I can nt believe how green the grass is under your trailer. I never even got the tractor out, the snow on the asphalt is nearly all melted.

I want the gravel lane to either freeze down a pack or melt.

Most of next week is suppose to be highs in lower 30s, so we shall see,
