Brand new carb and can't get it adjusted below 2200 rpms and new intake gasket.

Walbro. With idle screw all the way in it still is 1900 rpms.

I never had any luck with the Walbro I have on my K341, tried everything I could but could not get it to run right. As soon as I changed rpm or load on the motor it would act up.

 

I put a Carter #30 on it and after a couple of small adjustments it runs good, high and low rpms, different loads, it run the way it should.

 

Why ??? I don't know.

Make sure the butterfly is installed the right way there should be an indentation on it that needs to be at 12 o'clock

Got it fixed the linkage was catching on the fuel line.

You talking about the Idle mixture screw?? the idle speed adjustment needs to be backed out to lower idle speed not screwed "in"  and the mixture screw isnt meant to regulate speed....

(though I see you got it fixed some may wonder about which idle screw you meant)

"low speed idle screw" sounds to me like you were trying to adjust idle speed with the mixture screw....

the idle speed adjustment usually bottoms against the throttle shaft on the top of the carb.
