Sure does beat my lights.

I didn't think you put that much effort into this.  Now I look bad.

That's the difference between you and I,I try to please my wife.

No, the difference is I've had my wife longer.  I've tried and I know it can't be done.

OMG, You Guys are a hoot.
Thanks, I needed that.

Translation: Now I know how to shave hours off of hanging lights for next year.

Thanks for the pics Alan. That's a really nice display. It must have taken some time to set up.  I love that big tree in the middle of the room. Icicles on the tree is something we always did when I was a kid but we never do it now. The tree reminded me of Christmas when I was young!

I worked with a guy a few years ago. He was the safety director for our mine. This guy took his job seriously. He was always pointing things out to the work force. He was they type of guy who would remind you that ice is very slippery.

Well. About the middle of December he shows up with a cast on his right arm and his left wrist in one of those sprain braces.

What the heck did you do Rick?

I fell off my roof putting up Christmas lights

We all had a good laugh at his expense. He got a chuckle too and said I need to follow my own advice I guess.

Thanks Alan! I was one of the ones requesting to see this then I missed the thread! I bet you guys, epecially Judy have a great time putting this together every year! I can't let my wife see it as I would hear about doing something like that all year.

Now that Christmas is over, I'm kinda broken hearted in a way---we think the tree I have spent 44 Christmas' around will probably be retired. I'm ok with keeping it but it seems I'm out-voted. It is in rough shape but once all the stuff is on, it looks great to me yet! We still play the same record that woke me up as a kid too, Tennessee Ernie Ford's "Star Carol" to signal whoever is here Christmas morning that Santa had made it! "Joy To The World" is the first song.
