Someone asked for a pic of Mom's Village.

It's a collection of this and that and is about 1/2 of the boxes we have upstairs.  She has her favorites that show up every year and some she rotates in and out.

Enjoy.

Really cool.

How long has it taken her to collect those?

Me and my ex wife started a tradition to buy one piece a year for a Christmas village.

Dickens Village? Original Snow Village? My wife has Department 56, I plan on having a 16" shelf around the family room downstairs to hold it all when it gets finished. The room is 16x24, I think it will all fit if I shelf all the way around. Gonna need two circuits of outlets, though. :wallbanging:

Looks very good, MH81!!  Well, I have to throw in some pics of ours. Tho not large we've personalized it. We made all the bldgs about 20 yrs ago. I cut them out w/ the scrollsaw and Linda glued together and painted them and added lights inside each one. Each Christmas tree is lighted. Each business has a family member's name on it. Everything else has been picked up over the yrs. We don't have room in our living room to really spread it out so it's all pretty compact. I guess I'll say it's a tight knit community,LOL!!

Very beautiful and festive. If I'm not mistaken the train and track appear to be Lionel from the sixty's.

No, the difference is I've had my wife longer.  I've tried and I know it can't be done.
