I answered a CL ad a few days ago, the seller had a pic of a pile of NOS (new old Stock), OEM  Kohler parts including an electric starter that looks to fit a KT or a Magnum engine,  (a starter that I have an immediate use for), a fuel pump for same, a couple of "pancake style" mufflers that look K181-ish, and a few more goodies, asking price for the pile  was about the same as (less than some that I've seen for sale) the going price of that mechanical fuel pump... including shipping Fed Ex to my door.

seems he works (worked?) at a golf course and they cleared the shelves of spare parts for old equip that they do not have on the grounds any more....

Among the pile that arrived at my house today was 1 set of points and 9 condensers... 2 are PN 230722  and 7 are PN 47 147 01.

the 1st 2, have a wire pigtail built in, the other 7 do not. just a tab and a screw to attach a  wire to.

I haven't messed with a kohler engine with a magneto style ignition in too long, most I see are battery ignition.... but I think the pile of 2 is for battery ignition and the pile of 7 is for magneto ignition/. but can they be interchanged?

Those are two different condensers and are not interchangeable the farads are different

You really need to know the engine and spec numbers to double check especially on mag applications.

Both of the condensers are still available through Kohler
