Sears has a special on Craftsman 1/2" air impact wrenches for just $21.99! (normally $59.99) It puts out 400 foot pounds.  Not the best but for just $22 who can complain!  I ordered one while I was ordering my Grandson Case some tools.  His Dad and I are starting him a tool collection so when he's older he'll have a bunch of tools to kickstart his wrenching days.  HERE is a link to the air impact.

The last I heard about a year ago Craftsman switch from American made tool to Chinese made tools.   Their default rate went up about 25%.  Not near the tool they used be by any means.  Possibly made by the same plant that ,makes the HF tools.  My opinion only.

Awesome...I needed one!  I have this one and have enjoyed, it, but dropped it on the air chuck and she leaks air like crazy now.  I also had a $6 balance on an old gift card I thought I'd never use up, and my wife told me last nite I needed to go by Sears to pickup a Christmas order.  Perfect timing!

I've never had a HF air tool to die on me, and some are nearing 20 years old.  I have however had a few Campbell Hausfield get beyond fixing.  CH air tools may be built over there too for all I know.

That's a pretty good deal, should get one.

I bought an air tool kit from Costco many moons ago, the impact won't even remove lug nuts, it's rated at 400#'s, but I think it's more like 80 :wallbanging:

Bought one at TSC and it still works fine. Dropped it one day and broke the end of the anvil off and now the sockets won't stay on for anything.  :wallbanging:

I would put air to impact and test it. You'll either say "heck ya!" or be happy to have receipt.
I came across this Mastercraft impact in pawn shop for $25. They did not know what they had. These are 231 IR impact stamped for Mastercraft. Excellent impact that retails over $200 up here

I bought a used Blue point at a pawn shop for $65 and it has a small leak at the trigger. I need to check and see if a kit is available for it. Otherwise this thing is a monster and will loosen just about anything.  :D
