Is that one of the Rigmaster's. Used to do a second job doing maintenance for a local diesel shop. They put a lot of those in.

Yes, it's Rigmaster.  And a couple years back I uploaded a manual for this engine.  You can find it HERE.

OK, not sure what this is. Looks like maybe could make a home-made tractor, using ALL that assembly for the hood and front, then have cab with heat and A/C then??

GL , it's a self contained cooling unit off a semi. Pull the motor and drop in a GT of your choice!

Yeah it is a Rigmaster. They were the biggest seller untill Thermo King and Carrier came out with their units. Rigmastet could not compete with their network and went in and out of bankrupt court several times until finally closing. They had a reputation for being unreliable but the engines never gave trouble just the other systems. There are more of these showing up now so there might be a new wave of repowers coming. I know if a few that have been used to run pumps and other things that need cheap steady power. To the other question about the hours. There is no hour meter ob the unit. I believe it was ib the control panel in the cab and that was not with the one I have.

You sure walked into a bed of roses there.      Hope you can find a good home for it.  Let us know when the project starts.  :D

Got all the a/c hoses and un-needed wiring stripped off today. Engine was stuck from sitting several years so I pulled the injectors and squirted unstickum down into the cylinders. Came home this afternoon and rocked it a little bit and she broke free. I squirted a little more stuff in the cylinder to make sure everything gets slick. I hope to have time to start it in the next day or two. Only battery I have is an 8D with 1400 cca so I might have enough to crank it a couple of times.

I'm hoping to crank the little bugger tomorrow after I get a line made up for the oil gage. Spent today separating the wires for the starter, alternator, glow plugs, and on/off switch from the harness. In the morning I'm going to wire in the cooling fan which I checked out today. I also mounted a fuel tank today and plumbed the return line. Hoping to make some smoke tomorrow. I had to take a fuel pump off a big Massey to the pump shop yesterday and found out they are a Perkins dealer. They said they could get me anything I need. I said "how abour a turbo"? They said anything is possible.
