trying to find what year my Monty is... i do not know how to read serial Numbers

Check the motor as the tractor was usually built about the same time as the motor, give or take a year.

If you go to tractordata.com you can find brand,model,etc and it should have a list of serial numbers with the year.

It's a 78 Feb.2 ,932 one built on 1st shift on assembly line A

It was born on Groundhog Day.  I'd call it Groundhawg.
