With the exception of 2 days in the upper 40's, we are predicted mid 50's to low 70's through Christmas day.

In South Dakota quite often scraping the windows and using the defrost for the drive to work is needed then the A/C needs to come on for the ride home!

Sounds like great weather to me Larry!

They have us right now as the mid 60s on Christmas day!  I tempted to go get the kids some kind of outside toy so they can play outside a bit.

Winter has arrived for me. Dropping down into the low teens tonite with a steady north wind. Getting the coal stove started tonite. Wood stove wasn't keeping up and the house was getting cold. Our first day where it stayed below freezing all day. Down to 15° already.

We are 17.6 right now. But by Thursday we are supposed to be back up to the mid to high 40s.

We had snow and sleet last night. Roads were a sheet of ice this morning leaving my house.

You did a little better than me.  My weather station showed 4.1 this morning.  Freaking cold!

In the camp last night I had the pellet stove going, got it up into the 80s in there.  Shut it down at 10, and turned on my electric heaters hoping to maintain 60 through the night.  Did not happen, woke up this morning at 45 degrees in there!  I had 5 blankets on me wrapped up in a cocoon.  I must of woke up throughout the night for more blankets, but never enough to think "I should restart my stove real quick" I woke up at 6 and realized it was really cold in there.  Too late to start a fire though.
