I found this engine for sale on CL. Looks like a Clinton to me but I'm not sure.

i dont think it is a clinton. looks to modern. Also never seen a gas tank , or a carb. like that on a clinton.

I don't know about modern, I had a Clinton on my go kart, 3.5 h.p. that we bought new in 1967, looked like all the other contemporary motors.

Interesting......not sure if its a clinton or not but for that price i think i'd just go pick it up if it were close enough.

I'm thinking it's a Gladden BB  engine that has been modified. The tank and carb aren't what you normally see. I'm not sure if they are modified or just a different version. The block would just have a 2 bolt flange for the intake. The block, base, and shroud sure look like it.
