Sounds like that one we just had someone put a link to last few days. Seems like one of Canadian guys? Cubs generally good and parts all over. Depends on the features or attachments if any that come with it. No deck? rules out mowing as example. Blade is good for snow, long as it is right one for the tractor. Odd number model means Hydro, so would want to make sure it works OK. Price not great, and you would need space to keep all the other parts in.

This one is in northwestern Ontario. It has a deck. What should I look for with the hydro?

What options does it have on it?  With a rear blade I assume it has a rear sleeve hitch on it.  If there is no spring assist the sleeve hitch parts are worth 150-200 off the tractor.  If there is a spring assist they are worth 50-75.  I am wondering what lift it has on it.  A good many 147's had electric lift on them.  Could just be manual or it could be the optional hydraulic lift.  Hydraulic lift is worth 250-300.  Best thing to do would be post up a few pictures of it so we can assess the value better by seeing how it's equipped.  The 147 was the only 14hp narrow frame tractor built so are a tad more collectible than the other tractors of the same series.  I am curious about the blade.  Is it an IH built blade?  If it is the one I think it might be they can be worth almost half the asking price of the tractor.

Does it resemble this one?  This is the style I am talking about.

I wouldn't be too worried about the hydro.  They are near bullet proof.  If it moves forward and back it should be good.  I would just change the oil and filter on it and usually they are good to go.

It had 3 point hitch. That's what the guy said... When I told the guy I can't buy it he essentially said "WHAT?!?! Why not?"
