Oh my am I wiped out, BUT we had a ball today!  And the surprise of the day, month, and year was when a truck pulled in and out of it stepped Alan (MH81) and his wife Karen!  That was a total surprise!   We all had fun plowing with the best soil conditions ever at any of my events.  Hogzilla is pulling the twin 10" plows just fine!  I'd guess we've plowed between 5 and 6 acres already!  I counted 16 GT's this evening.  Not sure how many more there will be.  It could set a record, but may not as we've lost several due to circumstances beyond their control.  I sure hated that Brian, Doug, Skullbone, Cottonpicker, eggman, Tahoe, all the alabama crew, and more can't make it.  Sorry if I left a name out, but my brain is dragging as bad as my butt is tonight.

I had Kenny break open the field today, but left the camera in my truck and too lazy to go get it to download the pick of him opening the fields.  I can't emphasize how good the ground is plowing.  After the concrete it was in 2014, it's like another world this weekend!

I'll be out there as the sun is rising (I hope) so I can get the big coffee pot brewing.

Well, hasn't anyone opened up a field yet?? Come on guys, your killing me here!! :smilewink:

I broke the field and Alice doing it. When I attached the cylinder mount to the rockshaft, I only tacked it. Figured to weld it when I had it apart for paint. WRONG! It broke off the rockshaft after the first pass opening the field. Had to open up the seat pedastal to fix it. Daniel welded it up and all is good. Had a blast, got some pics, but like Daniel, too wore out to upload them. Got some video too.

I'm not the first to break this year.

Eric

I got that honor. See above. Also, Daniel had to weld some extensions for the 3-point rub angles. They were too short and the arms would catch under them. Probably what broke the cylinder mount!

Plenty!  There are 60 acres here, so more than enough!

Plowing is great! Alice has spun a few times, but just a lite tap up and she gets going again.
Later in the day, it dried more and I could plow in Hi range. Even caught up with Hogzilla!!

Been a great time so far. Today will even be better!

Gotta shower and head back out there after breakfast!

Up and ready, be leaving in a little bit for the fields.
Kenny, I was pricing different horns for you to get that slow poke Hog moving faster.... I think your best bet will be those electric air horns

My wife and I were talking and I said you sure we're surprised.
Ever happy to keep me grounded in reality, she said that "Daniel never said it was a pleasent surprise.
:bigrofl:

Just happy as heck to be down. See you soon... There's dirt that needs a turning.
