I like it how it is. But at the same time, I could adapt to something different without trouble.

I like this site just the way it is.

It's a very nice place to spend time, look around and get involved in any discussions you want to.

George and the admins and mods have done a great job here.

I've said it many times before and I'm sure I'll repeat it often.  Thank you George.

I agree 100%

I enjoy GTT as is. As forums go, it is pretty focused on the machines, but not to the point of singularity, imo. The openess here, and that less points of discussion are "off limits" is something I find appealing.

I agree.  Limit people and the membership really declines.  I've left several groups because they were very anal about your postings.  Not fun.  It's almost impossible to talk tractors 100% of the time.  The off topic postings add a personal touch to everyone.  Makes you feel like you know the person even though you never met.  What's great is the instant bonding you have with a member when you do meet face to face.  Yes, sometimes it can get a bit "facebookish" (don't get me started) but that goes with the territory.  Don't like it, don't read it.  This is about the best balance out there and I don't think it should be messed with.  As for the lost members, I think life just got in the way and this doesn't take the priority it once did.  People do sell out and go a different direction sometimes as well.  GL is gonna do that, or so he keeps saying.  See, personal touch.

Naw, GL likes the love he gets here. Don'cha Grump?

I was on a shooting forum one day and I started a thread that was a little different. I got two answers and then it was locked (Not shooting related!!!). It's hard to get comfortable in a place like that.

I sometimes wonder also about members who disappeared. While I am only a 3 yr veteran, I have made friendships over this forum, many were made at Daniel's plow days. I try to send a PM to a few who are not real active just to check on them, make sure they are doing alright.

Life gets in the way sometimes, family, work, etc and keeps people away. I also like the off topics and banter going on, makes it more personable between people IMO and keeps members around. If it went all just technical tractor stuff, I think you would lose a lot of people.

What am I missing ? I get on when I can click "Forums" then "new Content" read the titles and open what I want, great stuff. When I have more time I go back an open some of the titles that didn't catch me the first time. When I want to ask a question or answer I go to the section related to what ever I'm questing, brand etc.

I have NO COMPLAINTS, I think the mods and George have put together a fantastic site that allows us to fit in wherever we desire  :worshippy1:  :worshippy1:

3 years? Really? It seems like I've known you on here longer than that. Did you follow me over from there?
