about 10 years ago a guy near me had one of those Anniversary tractors still in a crate.  Out of the way small engine repair shop, no longer in business but I wouldn't be surprised if the guy still had it.  Back then he wanted $5k for it.

Is there a muffler in that chrome somewhere? It looks almost like straight pipe. I know those v-twins have a meaty sound to begin with. Straight header would probably be cool. Thought about it on my Craftsman... Just to be "That guy" with the obnoxiously loud GT

Those are kinda neat...BUT......they had belt drive cams in that engine and were NOT a good engine. Think one of first and only belt drives made. I had one bought at show (engine) cause thought it was diff one and it had sleeves in bores that drop down into crankcase and hit stuff and blow up. I was also told the belts went bad and then valves and stuff hit pistons and all was lost. Never see much for used parts on them either. Kind of a KT17 bad reputation then, stay away!  I ended up throwing most of the engine away. Had a manual for it, did find that.

I wouldn't want it at a third of the price.

I have seen them cheaper. I have one but bought it as a salvage unit for $450 and repowered it with a Command. Still need to do a little more detail work and maintenance. It was a big hit at the local steam show.
