I am new to to forum and thought I would post pictures of why I joined. Last week I picked up what is, a far as I can tell, a 1970 Bolens 1253. It came with a front blade, a disc, and a harrow. (The disc and harrow are not originally for the tractor). It had been sitting for a while when I bought it and the guy said it smoked a little the last time it was started. So I am not sure yet how much work I am in for. Once it is running I plan on stripping it down, cleaning it up and repainting it. Could be a long project as I am starting grad school in three weeks ...or it could be what keeps me sane during school.

Enjoy

Welcome to GTtalk. Tractor therapy is the best therapy. Hopefully with grad school going on you will still find time to be able to work on it.

 erbucky Welcome to GTTalk! We're glad that you have joined us. I'm sure that grad school will be a challenge, but I hope that the 1253 serves as a good stress ball LOL!
