I have a New, never used, New Holland tiller attachment model number 71504016. It's supposed to work on a New Holland MY16 lawn/garden tractor. What would be the Toro/Wheel Horse equivalent?

I am not very familiar...OK...not at all familiar with The New Holland tractors. Maybe some pics of the unit might help?

This is a wild guess but the 36" tiller for the 260-Series Toro is model number 79271. Take a look here

Make up a serial number from those listed and try here for the manuals

NewHollandTillerDrive.jpg Here is a picture of the tiller and the pulley assembly that must go underneath the tractor. I don't think these were ever used.

That hook up is similar to the Wheel Hose pieces that attach to the axle hitch. Do the New Holland tractors have a similar set up?

I don't have a tractor. I'm thinking of finding one or selling this tiller. It is for a New Holland MY16,MY17 or MY19 tractor. I did some more research online and it looks like those models are the same as Toro/Wheel Horse 416XT,417XT and 419XT. Not positive. I looked on youtube for videos but didn't see any of those Wheel Horse models with tillers in action. The long bracket with the pulleys must be for powering the tiller from a vertical shaft engine.

Wheel Horse guys would probably drool all over that for years.

The 416XT uses a 79370 tiller which is the same one used on the 300, 400 and 500-Series tractors.

Copied this from the Toro MPV on the 416XT
Requires Conversion Kit 106-8255. Also requires mower pulley box. Pulley Box Assembly 106-5562 is available, if needed. Rear Attach-A-Matic Hitch 106-5694 or 107-8490 required.
Try running these numbers at the links above.

Thanks for the information Gary. I looked up the numbers you listed. The 106-8255 Kit looks like the long metal square tube with pulleys that I have. The only thing I can see that I'm missing from that kit is the long thin rod. The pulley box 106-5562 didn't have a diagram available so I'm not sure what that looks like. The two hitch kits, 106-5694 and 107-8490 I know I don't have. They look similiar to the older rear hitches but not quite the same so don't know if they'd be useable.

Just out of curiosity, what are you asking for the tiller. I have two 300 series tractors and I think that the tiller would work with the axle hitch and the redirector for the belt that I already have. I already have a tiller and that one is identical to look at but black instead of red. I guess I'm just saying that you could probably open up your potential market by advertising it for all that it will fit. Best of luck with it!
