I like the part where Gilson hired women to test the tractors stating that if there is a wrong way to use a tractor, women will find it.

Now that may cause some heat around here... :smilewink: When we lived in town right after getting married my wife helped with yard work by mowing with the Cub, so that I would only have to do the trim when I got home. It was a nice deal. One Saturday morning the neighbor behind us comes over and man is he HOT :mad2:  I mean he was glowing red screaming what was I gonna do about it ? I had no clue what the problem was, I finally got him calm enough and he said come look. So out behind the garage we go, he had planted a nice row of new balled and burlap blue spruce trees all along his back property line hiding the neighbors place and our garage from his porch. These were real nice ones about 7-8 feet tall, the next to last one looked absolutely ragged, worse than Charlie Browns Christmas Tree...upon looking closer I could see that it had basically been mowed up one side and had kinda sprung back up in place...I'm looking at my cut lawn and the neighbor who is starting to look like we are gonna need an ambulance because he is just shaking he is so mad when I suddenly realize what must have happened...I apologized profusely again and again and promised to get the same nursery to come out and replace the tree to his satisfaction as soon as possible.

The rest of the story the wife filled in when she got home from grocery shopping, ya she was mowing when one of the boys in the sand box had screamed and she turned to look...yep right over that poor blue spruce...She said she never looked back to see how bad it was cause in her mind if it didn't stall the tractor how bad could it be and she was in a hurry to see if the little guy had been bee stung or what. We had our 38th anniversary last month and I can tell you that I have yet to pay that much for any tree again.  Moral of the story: Cub Cadet's were built tough in the 70's !! no matter who tested them.

Side Note: I still have that Cub in the barn, it helped raise 4 teenage boys along the way and got retired in 2010 because it was hard to breath thru the smoke of that old 10hp Kohler. It now waits quietly for a rebuild in the long list of projects here at the farm.

Thanks, Brian, but that didn't work for me.

The link brings me back to the same Google search screen.

I'm using IE on Win 7, so Google probably doesn't like me! :D

Maybe one of the mods that can get it open could tag it somewhere?  It is really a good read.
