I'm picking up a power king tractor tomorrow and do not know anything about them.i know it has large rear tires ,24 i think full three point hitch, duel brake pedals and a 17 hp kohler twin.it has been sitting in a yard for quite a while and i finally caught him home today.he said the only thing wrong with it was the lower end of the shifter needed fixed, and the parts are there.its a newer model either plastic or fiberglass.when he said 50.00$ i figured i couldn't lose.any good, bad or uglys.thanks in advance.

You have a great deal there. Check the Manuals Section for the info you may want. There was a thread a couple years ago that showed the repair of a PK shifter. Good Luck, Rick

Kt 17 might be junk. 4sds lots of trouble and clutch paks usually bad, leak from bad trans seal wrecks them. Money pit. Chassis is great. Money Pit! Note from the Darkside!

For $50, you won't lose.  Yes, the engines are not the best and yes, the clutches in these tractors are horrible but, you may get lucky.  Parting out will surely get your money back if it comes to that.  There is an easy repair for the end of the shifter but I would gives odds that it's the clutch unfortunately.  I hope it works out well for you because they are nice tractors.  Good looking too.  Good luck.
