Welcome to GTtalk, Dan.  Not much white stuff down here and I don't own a diesal so I can't help much so I will leave it to those who have the experience to help.

Hello Dan, welcome aboard. For normal cold weather starting I toss a blanket over my old J.D.4040 and hang a conventional light bulb in a 'trouble light" socket next to the engine the day before I plan to use it. Normal safety precautions in force of course, and the tractor is in the shop, out of the wind and snow.

Guys,

 

Thanks for the warm welcome.  When I get home I'll post some pics of the 2 tractors.

 

I will say that so far I really  like driving the Iseki, I set it at about 2/3rd fuel and it just plows through the grass.
