Everyone has opinions, I started taking 1000mg of vitamin C every day yearround about 15 yrs ago and haven't had the flu w/o getting the shot. I've had colds but not near as severe or as often as before the vitamin C regimen. To each his own.

I take vitamins with high percentage of C and the B-12. Haven't had a cold or flu in many years! Knock wood!

When I start feeling a cold or something coming on, I crush up and dissolve two 500mg C tablets in a cup of hot water and drink it like tea.

Makes a big difference.

My buddy swears by vitamin c and another one. He takes them constantly. I don't know if it helps him or not.

Vitamin C is a potent aid to your immune system, but many people would severe side effects from excessive doses. If you can tolerate it though, it's good stuff.
As for opinions, I agree, but the info on the flu shot is not an opinion, it's the result of decades of research.

I don't know what this flu is that I have but it took another bite out me again today with rounder 2. Fever up. Chills back. Nasal congestion so bad. Ear pressure. Stopped at the mother in laws practice and she gave me a quick check up. Said since I was sick with the flu and a runny nose it made way for a sinus infection. Yaay me.

I am over it. At least I have the weekend to let the antibodies run their course.

Sometimes I wonder if the problem is better than the side effects from the pills.

Twice today I nearly ripped my wife's head off and later I smashed a roll of Christmas lights because they were tangled.

This isn't usual behavior for me. Looked up on the steriod shot they gave me and right in there "severe mood swings" and " extreme irritability "

Wife is still mad at me. Told her it was no excuse for my yelling today but look up the side effects of that steriod shot.

I hate those side affects. Can be a pain to deal with.

Hope you're still married :D
A decade ago, my wife listened to her obgyn and got a birth control shot that lasted for 6 months.
She suddenly morphed into a she-demon that took every ounce of enjoyment from life and corrupted it into something terrible.

Longest 6 months of my life.

I still say there are side effects... ( :poke: )

She isnt as mad now.

That's not my behavior at all. After reading that I have to watch myself a bit...

I havent smashed something in anger for years. Probably since that singer sewing machine weedeater wouldn't start back in the spring of 04 and I smashed that thing all over the side walk.

I'm a lot calmer these days. And having children has taught me a lot about patience

I am required by my doctor to get a flu shot. Part of my family history my dad had the flu attack his heart & he lasted about one year. This was almost 20 years ago so with that history I am not going to complain about this as it is probably the better option.
