Many thanks to all especially Craftsmanmowerfreak ,  for a great Christmas present !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! went out there this white Christmas morning , heavy fog and 70 degrees , put the battery in and hit the key for 1/2 a second and it is running , shows charge on the amp meter , hooked a meter to the battery and show 14.3 volts , wow , it cost about $240 for all  new parts : battery , starter/generator , pulley , regulator , key switch , solenoid and a cable , well worth it ---------what I need to do now is a battery hold down , got a bungie cord on it now , OEM is no longer available , going to have to fab something up

What about the drive belt , it needs a new one , is there a better quality belt to use , like maybe one of the green thread wrapped belts

I am going to refurbish the mover deck next , the housing isn't in that bad of shape , thinking of using a pressure washer sand blasting gizmo I have , would need bearings in two spindles and one complete spindle and three new blades and a belt  ------- I seen a kit on e-bay for the deck I have , comes with 3 spindles , 3 blades and the belt for like  $180 , would make a good back up for my Husqvarna 5225 Zero Swing

Make sure you get a kevlar reinforced one, the auto store belts are only for automotive applications like running a fan belt.

I have been selling the red kevlar cord american belts with good results for these machines.

Thanks again , red kevlar or blue huskee , both  something I have not yet experienced , 5/8 x 82 really helps ------

I love this tractor , I have had riding mowers but never a tractor , I keep going to it and hitting the starter to see if the battery draws down and it starts in 1/2 a second with no choke and at idle every time ,  I use to pull the grade rack with my 4x4 ATV on chains to keep the driveway graded and weeds from coming up and it didn't do as good a job and as easy ------------ saves me on round up alone  ----really looking forward to use it on a food plot I plan on building for next years deer season

also want to build a receiver hitch attachment to the 3 point hitch as I have a lawn sweeper , utility trailer and a log splitter with a hitch on it , I have some square tubing and a receiver socket , seen a few pics on the net ,  any pics of a nice set up ?

Thanks  for the pics ,  knowing what it looked like really helps ------  I learned a long time ago about automotive belts on my riding mowers , they didn't last no time , seems like it was one every year and then I got a green thread wrapped that I think was made by Gates as it was from NAPA , I think it was called a  Lawn Equipment belt and I never changed it again ,  got the info in a folder some where ---------- tsc , where do you get them from ????
