I came across this while searching for Ramsey Winches...

Dodge-ram-6x6-01.jpg

It's just the ticket for those buying trips when you need extra bed space AND extra cab space for your buddies to come along and help you load...

                                                                              --OR--

It'll take you anywhere you want--camping, fishing, hunting,....

                                                                       --HOWEVER--

You'll probably have to drive the return trip in reverse 'cause you won't have room to turn around!!!

It'd take a whole lotta money/time to convert that into something that was fit to haul something.  :(

I am remembering a number of years ago that the big three auto makers made some wild prototype trucks for the army. If memory serves me well tonight, the Dodge was called a T-rex and was a six wheeler. I forget what the other two made.

What I wonder is if the second rear axle is a live axle or not... years ago my dad had an old (60s vintage) Ford Econoline van that he converted to a camper... He found a 6 cyl Mustang motor and tranny and put them both in, with the original tranny behind that... essentially a 9 speed with 2 reverses... when you put the thing in 1st/1st, the thing was geared so low it could climb a telephone pole if it could hang on.

Anyway, he talked to me one time about putting another axle behind the rear axle on the "Whoopie"  (that's what he called all of his multi-function rigs).  Some of the old Ford axles apparently had a front cover with the pinion shaft, and a rear cover with the same bolt pattern--he planned to put another front cover on the rear and run the axle off of it, but dad was real handy that way... I wish I could have spent more time around him... mom and he split up when I was 5, and I only got to see him every few months (he drove a "bed-bug hauler" for several years before retiring).

Anyway, on the Dodge, someone obviously had a lot more time, money, AND skill than I have.

Could not get that to the fishing hole. Too long would high center on top of the hill.
Too tall would never go under the trees.
Too expensive to take it off the road.

Reminds me of my nephews F350 duelly low rider. Semi wheels and tires and full air lift suspension.
All I could say is it is neat, but a heck of a thing to do to a $50 grand truck.

That's one of those "Look what I got", deals, basically worthless in the real world. Cool, though.
