Favebook story on Onion, says 42 Million people were killed or hurt on Black Friday shopping today! WHAT???  Trampling, stomping, fighting, and many BIG stores burning to ground and people missing in those and even cars near them burning up! Unbelievable!  We are Our Own Terrorists!!  Still finding it hard to grasp this whole story.  Glad Men shop on the 23rd, by then no one is out and all the good stuff is gone and Anything will work for the gift. Am I right?

Heck! My Bad! Just noted the date on that was from 2012! Reading into it talking about Sat and week-end totals made me say "what"?  Then see date is 2012!  Don't recall that news at all??  Whatever, still bad.

I think you are a day early! Haven't heard any bad Black Friday reports locally but there's always a few. I went out once years ago. didn't take me long to learn!! Never Again!!

We went out today and it was a good time. Everyone was polite and it was really nice.

We bought 300 dollars worth of stuff at toys r us for the kids Christmas and it all rang up for 150 after the discounts were applied

I am not a shopper.  I go in, get what I am after and quickly leave.  Weekday mornings are the best.  Those that are not at work are still trying to wake up.  Easy parking, no rush inside and I can get back home to do something sensible.  Need to pick up something for the GF yet but that is it.  Might wait till all the stuff goes on sale ! !   Save a little for more tractor stuff ?

Don't beat yourself up too badly.  Yes, the Onion is fake news but they are VERY good at making it sound real.  We have something like the Onion in Pittsburgh that's called Carbolic Smoke Ball.  Funny stuff but they don't go to such great lengths to make you question as to whether or not it's real.

Yep, you know the site Alan.  Actually, my ex-boss is a contributor to that site.  He's pretty twisted at times.

:bs:  that comes out to 1 out of every 8 persons in the US were injured. I have been in contact with at least 200 since then.. nobody mentioned it. I chalk it up to exaggerating media

I've noticed a lot of fake headlines popping up on the right side of my FB page.  They are designed to catch your eye so you click on them and some DB who dreamed the falsehood up can get cyber-pennies from advertisers on the page you go to..  Save your time and ignore the BS over there unless it's about you..  Then pay attention and nail the basturd for slander..
