What are you guys doing with your excess mower decks? I have always tried to save a deck for each tractor but usually have a different implement attached or else I cannot install the deck and get the tractors to still fit in the shed, etc.

All decks come off for winter and stored upright on the back wall of the shed

I store two under the benches, I'll be pulling Reds later to service, and re-install.

I gave up on the 'deck for each tractor' thing a long time back.  Seems they are tough to get rid of, and easy to obtain if needed, so I try to move them out with tractors I have sold.  I keep one of each 'type', and don't really count my small frame mower decks since they are someone unique, usually stay mounted and don't take up any room.

The decks I have stay beneath my implement shelving, slid in upright resembling books, so I can slide one out without moving all the others, if needed.  As with everything, I'd keep more if I could  :rocker2:

Only have 2 decks.  One green one is a smaller deck for a 850.  Don't have the mounts for it so it is in the pallet building standing on a wood pallet on end.  the red deck I use part time is on end on another pallet in the machine shed.  All my equipment is up off the ground on wood pallets.  Stored tractors (2) are sitting on 2X6 blocks to keep them off the ground. G12 has the thrower mounted and ready to go and the H1`6XL has the front blade on.  The LF is still on the operating table fighting that cantankerous ignition problem with the S14D.  The GF 4 wheeler will go to the garden shed.  Mine will go behind my pickup and the two snow removal tractors will be back in the other bay of the garage. Don't have a storage problem as have 3 buildings I can put thing in.  All I need is the $$$ to buy more to take up some of the void.

Thank you for the suggestions. I really only use maybe one or two decks. One old 42" with a bad shell and bent spindles that is my "shredder" deck and the 50" decks on the Landlords. Will get rid of one of the two late model Landlords if not both, hopefully next year.  I have over 32 decks at the house though probably six to eight are on machines currently but not in use. I have more offsite.

I have 3 I use but one 48" deck stays on, the other two are stood up against the wall securely.

Our extra decks are hung up against the ceiling. Little block and tackles. Hoist them up. Tie them off and ready to go. Easy to get down as well

We have several extra decks plus decks that just aren't on the tractor. You can Never have enough mower decks around. They are the highest wear item on the mower imo
