I picked it up tonight. I had my buddy haul it and he has it at his place and is going to bring it up this weekend. It is definitely a nice solid piece and everything mechanically has been gone over. Just needs stripped down and painted and new decals put on. The auxiliary hydro unit works great. He put new original fender reflectors on it and a brand new dash and a great used grill screen. The deck is super solid also. I gave the guy $450, probably a little more then what they normally go for but he showed me the receipts from the stuff he put on and he was originally asking $600. Just the dash and auxiliary lift is worth what i paid.

I am going tomorrow night or saturday morning to look at and more then likely bring home a Cub original with a mower deck, snow blade, and original wheel weights.

Sounds like a great deal. Congratulation! I think that aux. hydro unit is the same as the one on my 953 Wheel Horse.

Just found this thread. Figured I would add my two cents. Picked up a 125 at a yard sale last year with the hydraulic lift and deck. I had planned on just fixing it up a little and reselling it but one of the sons-in-law told me that he remembered having one just like it as a kid so I gave it to him since it only cost me $150. He did pay for the new belts and carb kit though.
