What is the correct size for the drive belt for this hydro? I have tried 70" and 69 " . &0 " ends up too long and 69" is too short. Just burnt a 69 off it. Need the correct size length and width, Want to be able to use it to blow snow and my chief 1000 to push snow. Thanks a lot.

Do you have the original manufactures part number?

I'm getting a 46'' belt in my literature

What brand of belt are you using? A  regular auto store belt will not cut it as they are not designed for L&G applications

1968 and no way a 46" will fit. Probably a 69 or 70" but not sure exactly what size. Don't know what brand either was. Know where I can get a 69x1/2" but not sure it will fit properly.

I'm thinking that should be 5/8" wide.

Just looked it up again! It's Jake part # 343359. Napa crosses that to a 5/8" X 72" belt.

Be sure to adjust the clutch pedal per the manual with the new belt!

Kenny, you do realize this is a hydro, not a gear tractor right? You said something about adjusting the clutch pedal which a hydro doesn't have. It is a Super 1200 Chief

I said clutch, but meant brake as they are usually on the same pedal. There is a 2" dimension that needs to be set according to the manual. Pages 19 & 20 of this manual.

You probably figured it out by now but just in case, here goes... I am not sure the exact length of the belts but I think the gear drive belt is slightly longer. I think I used a 5/8x70" belt on my 112 Hydro. It didn't seem right at first but I realized that the engine is adjustable on the frame front to back and can be used to give or take slack on the drive belt. I didn't look at the link to the manual but I am guessing it's possibly what is being mentioned.
