Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of the forum members here in the United States, and Canada. As we sit for that time when family and friends gather around the home and eventually the table I hope we all take a moment to thank those who ultimately gave us the freedom to celebrate as we do. Our Veterans, Current  Military, Police, Fire and EMS, all those  work on all the holidays and some are away from their families and far from home. As we give thanks we remember the reason for the time we share. In this crazy world and time we are living in we need to remember all that we have is because of our hard work and dedication to family, home and country.

It's not really about the sports we watch ( and we do in our family), it's not really about the movies we watch on TV , nor is it about early Christmas shopping that some do on this day. It's about giving thanks for all we have and the family we have. For me that includes the family here at GTTalk.  Enjoy your day and thank you letting me be a part of your family. May God Bless.

                                                                                                                                                                                   Roger

Well said.

As with any holiday, the true meaning has been passed over through commercialization.

Thanksgiving officially is the last holiday before Christmas that we pig out on food, and go max out credit cards on "sales".

I always found it funny that Thanksgiving is the holiday to be thankful for all that we have, then less than 12 hours later people are out spending cash like mad to buy more stuff.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys & gals!  Me....I'm thankful to be alive for another Thanksgiving!

I feel the same way, Daniel! I'm cooking the bird today! Got things lined out and started making tea this morning. My daughter and family will be over, she's coming early to help with the cooking.

May have to get the pontoons out for the weekend though.

Be safe in your travels folks! Wanna hear from you after the holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I have much to be thankful for. Mostly, a loving family and loyal friends.

Thanks to GTT for being a great place to enjoy.

While there is a lot of unrest in many parts of the world, there is still so much to be thankful for this season.
