here in jersey I cut the last of the lettuce and swiss chard today. supposed to get a low of 18 f tonight. not bad for the end of November.

How do you fix your swiss chard?


Chop it put it frying pan with olive oil and some garlic. it cooks really fast or turns to mush. I use it same as spinach

it's really good for you too and easy to grow

I've had it since I was young. My folks would boil until tender and then sprinkle cider vinegar on it. Your way sounds better.

Definitely been a amazing season even here in the Great White North. We cut last of our Swiss Chard 2 weeks ago,,,never ever cut this late,,usually end of September..

 

Usually steam it and lather in butter and vinegar.. It freezes well,,just like spinach and grows like a weed!

Nevr had it whats it taste like?

 

tastes like spinach and it comes in two colours,,white or red but the leaf is always green...
