Looks like you got your work cut out for you, but it looks like everything is mostly there and you have a good starting point at least.

Well done for making a start on your restoration and great photos of what you're doing. Those rear Agri tyres are a fantastic find.

I hope your sons will be cajoling you to get this all completed by the Summer! By then you will be on the look out for another one.......

  • Thanks for your reply’s. I shall try and update as it progresses.. This is my first project restoration, any tips are very welcome:)

Has anyone tried to upload photos directly from a mobile phone to this forum?

The only way I have managed is by transferring photos from phone to PC then upload from there. It would be useful to attach them straight from my phone to the GtTalk mobile page.

I am having trouble freeing the two cast parts in the picture. The freewheeling lock pin is missing so that is not stopping rotation. the grease nipple removes ok which is where i have sprayed plus gas and soaked for days with no joy.

I have also tried to remove the axle castle nut - this too does not move with a 2footlong spanner and 90Kg standing on the end.

Any tips on freeing up these parts would be great

A bit of heat might be enough to ease the axle castle nut. Also keep soaking/ spraying it with plus gas.

I am sure someone else will come along with suggestions.

Dont heat any cast parts as it will break if you force it.

Sounds like you need a longer breaker bar & 6 sided socket to crack that nut

Is it a left hand thread?? I dont know as not tackled one.... yet!!

Look like you are getting stuck in with this one.

Where did you get your tyres from?
