Hi everybody!
Like a lot of people, I have a colleague who has a MF10 with hh100 tecumseh engine, the coil is breaking and saw the price of this coil, it can not be put out with the tractor engine!
I thought prolongation pence and I have a solution, use an external motor coil, and for the callage of ignition, pose Electronic ignition module! Current supply devices for in the coil, the original alternator can be reused!
the idea in his works, but I need your expert opinion, do you think can this tendering system work? and if someone is already doing!

Check the Tecumseh SSI link in my sig for some of the different coil applications.

Most need some type of control module to control signal, mine uses a single trigger to break coil field to fire.

I am not sure what your little silver box is or what you plan to use as a trigger off the flywheel.

Hi everybody!
the shutter (we call home switch and capacitor) that can replace an ignition module, it is very common on the old machine is reliable and good price!
basically, if wanted I change my ignition system to put in a different parralèles! I reuses the stator
According to you, does it work?
(grieve for my spelling, I use a translator because I'm french)

I have seen the module used like this to do away with points. If you are using an external coil you need a trigger signal at TDC as Tahoe mentioned in his post.

I am not familiar with your shutter so can't help you there.

The stator can still be used, but it will charge the battery and the coil will feed from the battery. I run my coil through a toggle switch and that is how I turn the ignition on/off to shut down engine.

If you are using an external coil you need a trigger signal at TDC as Tahoe mentioned in his post.

My Tecumseh is set at about 25*. A little harder to start, but runs good at wide open throttle.
