This is the 1st Bolens I brought. Been after an HT20 for years after knowing one as a kid. Sadly that has now long gone & its fate is unknown.

 

Brought it as a wreck, spent a fortune on it inc a newer Magnum engine as old one is shot, but hopefully found a correct replacement fingers crossed.

 

Fitted a 3 point lift kit from Sams Bolens, new tyres etc.

 

Sadly I will have to repaint the bonnet & fender at some point as the rust is coming back. Dont know why as it was blasted & primed etc. Ahhhh

Sounds like you got some moisture in the primer, primer is porus and takes moisture in if you don't paint right away. This will cause rust, they make treatments for bare metal that stops the process.

Great to see the before and after pictures of your HT20 again, you did a great job.

I tried to buy one of those 3pt kits from Sam a couple of years ago but unfortunately it didn't work out. I am still looking for one.
