Getting rain and large snow flakes mixed in SW Iowa now.  Strong SE wind.  Talking up to 8" up in NW Iowa.  All heading to the East.  Wood is in, Corn/pellet stove in going with plenty on hand.  Let it snow.

Keep the heat on, maybe that will help melt it so it won't come here, Noel

Hope you enjoy the white stuff, we have been missing our snow these last couple of years. We used to live in Chicago and moved to Wisconsin because we wanted more snow, now Chicago seems to get what we are supposed to. Damn global warming, shifting the weather pattern! Just kidding.

Started here around 2:00,radar looked like we were in the eye of a hurricane at 12:00 snow within a few miles all the way around us.
Asphalt driveway is just wet, but the gravel is white. Do not think it will accumulate enough to need plowed before the wife gets home.
She left her car with me at noon and took my 4X4 SUV back to work. They are now predicting between 7-10 inches by morning.

yeah we are also supposed to get that crap, I DON'T WANT IT! Sky looks like snow clouds for sure, looks like were certainly "in for it". Eastern IL, an hour south of Chicago, 1/2 an hour to Indiana from here.
