That is interesting. You have to think about what isn't told, not what is said.

Ok, cant help myself these are GT related.....

"Its rare"   - (usually is the most common model produced , the true rare ones are often sold without the seller having any idea what it is!)

"needs engine work"  -(I took it apart and dont know how to put it back together/ I broke something)

"New Battery"   -(Charging system doesnt work)

"Repowered with..."   -( I put a huge 80HP car engine in its place and you cant use it as a GT anymore)

"It looks just like this"  (posts picture from a brochure)  --- ( Its sitting in the field and the seller cant get to the machine as its buried in brush and all busted up)

I saw one the other day - 'Excellent condition'

That is If you don't want the hood - the seat - or the original motor or paint colors.

A guy was trying to talk me into buying an old Chevelle about 20 yrs ago. His line was " It is in immaculate condition, It has been parked out in the field for the last 15 years, it just needs all the floorboards replaced and it will be mint!". I do see the "Ran when parked" line frequently in the online ads around here. Another local favorite is " Works great, just needs a motor/ engine."
