Good shooting Lorna!  I bush hogged up a skunk last year, and man did it make it rough mowing through that corner till I finished!

A skunk has to arch his back to spray, just like a tome cat.  

 

That's , why you can run up behind them and pick them up by the tail and they don't spray you !!!  

 

I have heard of people doing it, I ARE too old to try it.. besides I don't know how you get rid of it when you finish with it.

My Olde Deere shot one once with a 12 gauge. Forgot the first rule of shooting--- check what is in the field of fire behind your target. Splattered Mr. Skunk all over the side of the half ton. No pellets hit it, just skunk. YUCK!!

I don't know how you get rid of it when you finish with it.

When I was a kid,my brother had the bright idea of sticking one to the trash bin with an arrow.And my old man made me pull it off!
