Need help finding year make and model of this motor is 1976 briggs 8hp but not sure if it's the same year for tractor. .. My folks had a Murray like that mid-late 80s.

Definately Murray built but some were painted as, and sold through Sears.  That one has a Sears blade on the front.  Blade might be adapted - might be factory.  ???

I had a Murray that was similar to that, but mine was 14 h.p. And it had a 44" deck. Bought mine used but not very old, around 1977-'78. It was dark metallic red and black. It was labeled something like Lawn Master by Murray. Local hardware sold them new.

Thanks !!! Every little bit gets me closer .. any ideas of where the numbers would be on this I've been looking for over 2 weeks on the Internet and can't find anything

I'll look again but don't think it's there trying to get a belt and need the year for it only gave 60 bucks for the tractor and runs great but man o man this is a hassle lol thanks !!

Sure looks like the 77 Sears ST8.

Can you try using that model number to get you a belt?
