The old horses are so simple but work so well! My friends dad was a WH mechanic for years..
He knows the Kohler engines inside & out.. There is a link in the manuals section for the K series engines you can D/L for free. It will tell you everything you need to know about the engine.

You can weld them up by using a piece of brass shaped like a woodriff key, but you will have to replace the seals when your done. A lot cheaper and quicker then trying to find good replacement axles.

I'm also new! Just picked up my very first tractor to work on last weekend. Its a Wheel Horse B-115. I'm planning to restore and sell to move on to my next project.
