So I bought my first GT this week, by mistake ( I bought it to flip) and now I am hooked. 😳It's a Gutbrod 1050 and included 3 implements. Now to figure out what to tell the wife…

The GT needs a bit of work and this is the first time I am taking on a project of this nature, so I will be relying on GTTalk for loads of advise. Thanks Guys. I have attached a few pics. Hope you enjoy them. image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png

Welcome aboard. There are far worse things in this life to be "hooked" on, lol.  Re: pic #4. Closely resembles a much larger field implement we called a "spring tooth harrow". If it is, you have it upside down----- the pull goes against the curve of  the harrow to produce the desired sprig effect  that loosens the dirt and uproots the weeds. But, you may know this already.

Hey Pete. No it doesn't run. Was stored in a shed for a couple of years. I don't really know much about motor etc. all the info I can find on the web is in German. I guess I will be taking german.

Welcome to GTT. You are off to a great start. Here is one of the manuals that we have: http://gardentractor...-superior-1050/    but is in German. You are going to have to spend some time with translating software. Where are you? Good Luck, Rick

As you will see, we have a great library. You can get 3 free downloads per day. Once you get that running and figure out how to use the attachments, you will want to have a big garden. The garden gives you an excuse for more GTs and attachments. Also, vegetables you raise yourself just taste better. That will usually convince the boss to let you keep it. If you do a real good job, she will want one for herself(then you have won, big time). Good Luck, Rick

To help with getting your baby running, any of the good shop manuals we have can help. The "Troubleshooting Guides" are fairly generic and are a great way to diagnose a problem with an engine.
